Our Daily Math Time Includes:
Math Journals- Students work on Math Journals during morning arrival. Each day has five questions of spiral review. These are corrected the same day, and I work with students individually to make sure they understand the concepts.
Mini Lessons- Every day we have a 15 minute “mini-lesson” on our new math skill. This is time for direct instruction and teacher-led practice. They then apply these new skills during workshop time.
Math Workshop- Math Workshop is 40 minutes daily. Students practice independently with a worksheet, work on math centers, task cards, fact practice and meet with the teacher.
